The Jewelry Box - Both Beautiful and Practical
Most people pick out a
jewelry box based on how beautiful it looks. And yes, there are
some absolutely exquisite jewelry boxes out there to choose
from. But take just a minute to think about the practical side
of owning one of these beautiful pieces. And keep in mind that
this goes for both men and women.
When you come home from work or a night out, most of the
time you are exhausted. The first thing you do is go into the
bedroom and change clothes and take off all your jewelry. How
often does that jewelry just end up laying on top of the
dresser. It's not too long before the top of the dresser is an
absolute mess and you couldn't find a specific piece of jewelry
if your life depended on it. A jewelry box would take care of
this problem, provided you use it properly.
Jewelry boxes are great organizers. Get yourself a large
one, perhaps with glass door that open. Typically these will
have hooks on a rotating disc, a perfect place to hand your
necklaces so that you'll not only be able to find them, but you
won't have to spend 15 minutes untangling it from all the rings
and other pieces of jewelry that it will likely get entwined
with. Then there will be drawers. For organizational purposes
you can put your earrings in one, rings in another, and
bracelets in the third. Can't you just picture how easy it
would be to find things now?
If you have too much jewelry to place in one box, why not
get two. Like we said, a jewelry box can be very beautiful and
will only serve to enhance the look of your room. Just make
sure you separate things so they are easy to find. Perhaps have
one jewelry box for you costume jewelry, the other for the
better pieces.
For you men, consider getting a smaller one to place your
watch, or watches in. Separate drawers could be used to place
rings if you wear them. And here's a great idea. How about
using one of the drawers to place your change in instead of
just leaving it on the counter or dresser? Your bedroom is
looking better just thinking about it. No more clutter on the
dressers.
Of course just thinking about it won't do you a bit of good.
You have to actually use the jewelry box for it to be
worthwhile. And even the prettiest box won't look very good
surrounded by clutter. It's not going to take you more than an
extra 30 seconds to put things where they belong. Don't place
them on the dresser and say you'll come back and put them away
later. You won't. I can tell you that from experience.
So now that you've made the great decision to get one (or
two), why not take a second to see if you can find the perfect
jewelry box in our store section. We think
you'll find exactly the one you are looking for that will
look good on your dresser and take care of your clutter
problem as well.
